Frequently Asked Questions

What are you working on?2019-07-19T02:19:22+00:00

There’s a lot I’m working on. First and foremost is keep making knives – I’m planning on making the craziest projects I can, but on the other spectrum, also keep making progress on more affordable knives.

Other things I’m working on are the YouTube channel and eventually my online knife making course. The YouTube channel will be enjoyable, honest videos about me and the craft; it’ll feature build progresses, tutorials, and general life vlogs on what goes on in the background. The online knife making course is something I’m currently planning in the long term and writing right now. It will be a comprehensive course for the beginner and intermediate knife makers to improve their skills and understanding of the entire process.

When are you making folders?2019-06-16T21:51:33+00:00

A long, long time from now.

Where do you live?2019-06-16T21:50:57+00:00

In the middle of nowhere in Tucson, AZ.

How do I buy a knife?2019-07-19T02:23:06+00:00

I don’t do custom orders. Most of my knives I make and then sell through my NEWSLETTER on a first-come-first-serve basis. Pricing depends on the build, design, and materials but ballpark for an average chef’s knife is currently around $1200-1400. Really involved milestone projects can be substantially more but those are done only a few times a year.

While I don’t do the official orders, I do note requests, and if there is an idea that really interests me I’ll take on the project.

When do you post on your newsletter?2019-07-21T19:13:32+00:00

My newsletter will generally go up on Wednesday or Friday mornings at 9am AZ time. Occasionally there may be an exception for an announcement or available knife depending on the schedule.

How much are your knives?2019-07-19T02:39:24+00:00

It depends on the design, build, and materials. My usual chef’s knife is currently around $1200-1400, but some projects are more affordable and some projects are milestone builds that reflect months of work.
