Project Description

Athena

The most classic style knife I’ve done.

This is one of the most traditional handle designs I’ve done. It’s my take on an octagon, with a couple subtle tapers in the front, and some pretty elegant materials. The multipiece handle has hidden alignment pins to keep everything together and in the correct place. It takes quite a bit of work just to keep things fitted up together without any harsh transitions over time but it’s well worth the time.

The profile is flat, made to be good for push and pull cuts. The grind is a thin convex.
