Project Description

A medium size gyuto with a chatoyant handle

A signature gyuto in a medium size, with a very chatoyant handle of Tasmanian Blackwood. Similar to koa, it has almost a very holographic look when rotating in light, but has more of a gold color. This is one of the tightest figures in a handle material I’ve worked with.

Make sure you are aware of the care required for carbon steels (it’s straight-forward, just wipe it after cutting something, hand wash, and wipe dry before storing. It will get a patina through normal use).
